How do I see answered questions on IXL? ›

Scroll down to find the IXL accomplishments section. Here, you'll see an overview of the student's IXL usage (questions answered, time spent, skills practiced) and a breakdown of math and ELA skills they've worked on. Pro Tip: Hover over the pie chart to see how many skills have been practiced in each strand!

The Student Quiz Results report will show the number of questions they got correct, their score for the quiz, and the amount of time they spent on it. Below that you can review individual questions they answered, which display their answer and the correct answer.

If you are having difficulty signing in, it could be because of your username or password. First, double-check that you are using the correct sign-in information. Students without an email address associated with their account will need to contact their teacher for help.

Students will need to answer as many as 10 questions correctly in a row to achieve mastery. For most skills on IXL, students will have to complete a minimum of 28 questions to earn a SmartScore of 100. When a student achieves a score of 100 on IXL, you can feel confident that they have truly mastered that skill.

Limited Engagement: One major drawback of IXL is its emphasis on repetitive practice rather than fostering deep understanding. The program often focuses on isolated skills without providing real-world context or opportunities for critical thinking.

Some students of BAMS agree that IXL is causing them too much stress. “Homework is taking way longer than it should”, says one middle school student. In a world where school is already stressful enough for the modern student, should kids really be receiving homework that could take hours to complete?

For each skill, you'll see the student's SmartScore, questions answered, time spent, and date of their last practice session.

IXL has a strong focus on math and language arts, while Khan Academy offers a wider range of subjects. Consider your learning style: If your child is a visual learner, then you may prefer Khan Academy's videos and articles. If your child is an auditory learner, then you may prefer IXL's games and quizzes.

While a student is working on a skill, IXL displays helpful information about the student's progress. The number of questions attempted, time elapsed, SmartScore, and medals earned are all shown on the right side of the screen.

The IXL program is a great tool to boost your learners' English skills, particularly if it is coupled with supplemental instruction. In my role as a Wyzant English tutor, I often use IXL. Because it is scaffolded to meet educational standards, students may encounter new areas they know nothing about as they progress.

Score Grid:

Like a digital grade book, this report shows you if students have completed assignments and reached their SmartScore goals across all skills for one or more grades, skills students have practiced, or skills you've suggested.

Click the Reports tab. Sign in to your IXL account at www.ixl.com. IXL reports offer a winning combination of interactive data, powerful analytics, and easy-to-read graphs. Once your students have started practicing with IXL, the reports in your teacher account will automatically update with real-time data!

Using the Students Quickview report

At the top of the report, you'll see a cumulative count of what your students have recently accomplished. The graph below lets you see how student usage patterns are split over time, and how much progress students are making on IXL during school hours or from home.
